These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the “User,” “Client,” “Tradesperson,” or “you”) and My Local Services Ltd (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your access to and use of the website, platform, and all associated services provided by My Local Services Ltd (collectively, the “Platform” or “Services”).

By accessing or using the Platform in any way, including but not limited to visiting or browsing the website, registering an account, or using any Services provided by or through the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept all of these Terms, you are not authorized to use the Platform.

  1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 “Platform” refers to the website, application, communication tools, and all associated services and software operated by My Local Services Ltd.

1.2 “Client” or “User” refers to any person or entity that accesses the Platform for the purpose of locating, evaluating, or hiring Tradespeople.

1.3 “Tradesperson” or “Service Provider” refers to any person or entity that offers trade-related services (e.g., landscaping, carpentry, plumbing) through the Platform.

1.4 “Agreement” refers to this Terms of Service document, including our Privacy Policy and any other legal or policy documents incorporated herein.

  1. SCOPE OF SERVICES

2.1 My Local Services Ltd operates as a neutral digital platform that facilitates connections between Clients and independent Tradespeople. The Company does not provide, manage, direct, or supervise the services rendered by Tradespeople.

2.2 The Platform enables Tradespeople to list their services, qualifications, and availability and allows Clients to search for, communicate with, and engage Tradespeople. All transactions and engagements between Clients and Tradespeople occur independently of the Company.

2.3 My Local Services Ltd does not guarantee the availability, quality, legality, safety, or performance of services rendered by Tradespeople. We do not vet or endorse any individual Tradesperson unless explicitly stated.

  1. RELATIONSHIP OF THE PARTIES

3.1 Tradespeople listed on the Platform are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, joint venturers, franchisees, or partners of My Local Services Ltd.

3.2 My Local Services Ltd has no control over, and disclaims all liability related to, the services provided by Tradespeople, including any representations made, pricing, time estimates, work quality, or customer satisfaction.

3.3 Clients and Tradespeople are solely responsible for the execution of their agreements. The Company is not a party to any contract between a Client and a Tradesperson.

  1. LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION

4.1 My Local Services Ltd shall not be liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of income, revenue, or profits;
  • Property damage or personal injury;
  • Disputes between Clients and Tradespeople;
  • Failure of a Tradesperson to deliver services;
  • Errors or omissions in any content or information;
  • Unauthorized access to or use of our servers or user data.

4.2 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless My Local Services Ltd and its affiliates, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and partners from and against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of:

  • Your use or misuse of the Platform;
  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your interaction with a Tradesperson or Client;
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party.
  1. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

5.1 The Platform and all content, information, tools, and services provided by My Local Services Ltd are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied.

5.2 We do not warrant that:

  • The Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
  • The content will be accurate, complete, or current;
  • The quality of any services obtained through the Platform will meet your expectations.
  1. USER CONDUCT

6.1 You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Misrepresenting your identity or credentials;
  • Using the Platform to defraud, harass, or threaten others;
  • Posting or transmitting any unlawful, defamatory, or offensive content;
  • Attempting to interfere with the functionality or security of the Platform.

6.2 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in behaviour we deem harmful to the Platform or its users.

  1. VERIFICATION AND DUE DILIGENCE

7.1 While we may, at our discretion, verify the identity or qualifications of Tradespeople, we do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of such verifications.

7.2 Clients are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence before hiring a Tradesperson, including verifying insurance, licenses, and past work.

  1. INSURANCE AND LICENSING

8.1 Tradespeople are required to maintain appropriate insurance policies, including public liability insurance, and to comply with all local, regional, and national laws and licensing requirements.

8.2 My Local Services Ltd does not monitor, enforce, or validate the insurance or licensing status of Tradespeople and is not liable for any consequences arising from lack of coverage or legal noncompliance.

  1. PAYMENTS AND FEES

9.1 My Local Services Ltd may charge Tradespeople listing fees, subscription fees, service fees, or commissions for using the Platform.

9.2 Unless otherwise stated, My Local Services Ltd does not process payments between Clients and Tradespeople. Clients are responsible for ensuring timely and full payment directly to Tradespeople or via third-party payment processors.

9.3 Fees paid to My Local Services Ltd are non-refundable except as explicitly stated.

  1. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

10.1 Disputes between Clients and Tradespeople must be resolved directly between the parties. My Local Services Ltd is not obligated to mediate or intervene but may, at its discretion, provide limited support.

10.2 You agree to release My Local Services Ltd from any and all claims, demands, and damages arising out of disputes between Platform users.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

11.1 All content, design, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on the Platform are owned by or licensed to My Local Services Ltd and are protected by intellectual property laws.

11.2 You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any content without our prior written consent.

  1. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

12.1 The Platform may include links or integrations to third-party websites, tools, or services. My Local Services Ltd does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for third-party content or conduct.

12.2 Your use of third-party services is solely at your risk and subject to their own terms and conditions.

  1. TERMINATION

13.1 We reserve the right to suspend, deactivate, or permanently delete your account for any reason, including breach of these Terms or conduct detrimental to the Platform.

13.2 Termination does not affect your obligation to pay outstanding fees or any other rights and obligations that survive termination.

  1. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

14.1 My Local Services Ltd reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users by updating the “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, provide advance notice via email or Platform alerts.

14.2 Your continued use of the Platform after changes to the Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

  1. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

15.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 Any legal action or proceeding relating to your access or use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  1. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, including our Privacy Policy and other documents referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and My Local Services Ltd and supersede all prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
